FXStreet (Bali) - San Francisco Federal Reserve President John Williams made some juicy comments on the weekend, further supporting the notion that the Federal Reserve will increase interest rates in December.
Fed's Williams said that should data meet or surpass expectations, there is a 'strong case' for a December hike.
"Assuming that we continue to get good data on the economy, continue to get signs that we are moving closer to achieving our goals and gaining confidence getting back to 2-percent inflation", Williams said.
"If that continues to happen there's a strong case to be made in December to raise rates. The data I think have been overall encouraging, especially on the labor market"
