FXStreet (Delhi) – Research Team at Nomura, suggests that according to the survey conducted by them, most people believe that the US Fed will raise rates in December and BoE in The Fed.
Key Quotes
“US Fed: Only 24% expect the Fed to raise rates at this week’s meeting, with 14% for October and 39%, in line with our expectation for a hike in December. That’s also 77% who would be surprised if the Fed were to hold off until the New Year. This is in line with our expectations for December to mark the Fed’s lift-off.”
“BoE: 57% of clients expect the BoE to hike by February 2016, with an additional 28% expecting a hike in Q2 2016. Only 18% thought the BoE could hike before the Fed, while 82% said that is extremely unlikely or not possible. This falls broadly in line with our expectations for a February 2016 hike, while risks to a later hiking path remain.”
