"The Asian calendar is very quiet, limited to only Taiwan Sep export orders. NZD focus will be on the dairy auction, held as usual during the Lon/NY session. NZX futures are currently predicting only a 5% rise in whole milk powder prices, suggesting the impressive rally since August is mature.
US housing starts should continue in its uptrend, with Sep expected to show a modest gain of 1.4% m/m. Fed’s Dudley and Powell will give welcome and introductory remarks at the NY Fed’s conference on “The Evolving Structure of the U.S. Treasury Market”. Chair Yellen’s brief remarks at a ceremony should be of limited interest to markets. The results of Canada’s election will start trickling in over the Asia session."
